Good friends are a wonderful thing to have! They can even make it fun to get old! Michelle made me this fabulous bracelet for my birthday, and it matches the antique Venetian glass ring that my mom gave me a few years ago. Since Michelle couldn't be here to see how excited I was when I opened it, I thought I'd post a picture of it for her. I also got to go to lunch with friends and family at Red Lobster and the Grecian Key. Kassie gave me a cute pair of pajamas that are.....drum roll please.....long enough! It is so hard to find pj's for longer legs. I don't know why they make them so short, but I think it's discrimination!
Another friend, who shall remain nameless, gave me a book about some great books that would change my life. I was thumbing through it at Red Lobster after opening it and showed her an explicit chapter she hadn't noticed when she was buying it. A few pornographic pictures later we were all laughing and she was blushing over her thoughtful gift! The funniest part was when she told us that she bought it for her 14 year old daughter, too! Fortunately, she had given her daughter many books for Christmas, and she hadn't read that one yet! It quietly disappeared from her bookshelf (and never made it to mine)!
I also got a new haircut for my birthday. I haven't had short hair in years, so I was ready for a change. I had Becky's friend, Savhanna, cut it while I was in Boise. I'm having lots of fun with it so far.
