Road Trip!

Written by guest blogger, Maren Symons
Bad picture of Emma, but great picture of her "Road Trip" shirt.
Off we go to Jackson Hole (sing)
Is it bad luck to start a trip after seeing a dead mouse next to your car??? Well, we've never been superstitious (or afraid of mice) so to Jackson we went.  Del had a 20 minute repair to do there and decided to take the rest of us for a day full of fun.

Disclaimer: If you have ever or will ever take a road trip with our family be prepared for hours of singing. It's not that we're super talented or anything like that, but there's something that happens when cars and music mix that allow even the most unmusical of people to become Paul McCartney, George Strait, or the Andrews Sisters, if only for a moment.

Of course, we had to make a pit stop in Swan Valley for a square ice cream cone.
We found a fun tourist shop with good prices and lots of strange stuff to dig through.

Hipsters. More like a blast from the past. I swear these glasses came straight off John Lennon's face!

Chris found a great spot to relax in a gem store, while Emma explored huge amethyst-lined geode.
We saw some pretty famous stars in front of an art studio and took a minute to pose with our favorites.

Emma wanted a picture with fellow genious, Albert Einstein.

Good old George, posing with fellow patriots, Del and Devin.
Chris was just chilling with Ben.
Maren and Abe seemed to really hit it off!
We found Excalibur, but unfortunately none of us were successful in pulling the sword.

The famous antler arches of Jackson Hole.

One of the highlights of the day was eating dinner at Liberty Burger.  Definitely some of the best hamburgers we've ever eaten, and a great way to top off a fun day!
Here's the Baby Bella Chris and I had.  It had a thick onion ring and sauteed mushrooms.  Mmmmmmm....
The girls both had the South of the Burger, with chips, salsa, and guacamole.
